About the Caterers

A & R Catering Pty Ltd  have been providing exceptional culinary cuisine to members and guests in the Club Industry for many years and are well known for their signature steaks.  A & R Catering is currently seeking an experienced Wok Cook specialising in Asian cuisine to join the team. In this role you will be working in a fast-paced environment with the friendly and passionate culinary team.

Successful candidates will have:

  • A minimum of 2 years WOK experience in a busy kitchen
  • Attention to detail and a chef who prides themselves on providing each and every one of our guests with an unforgettable culinary experience.
  • Good time management skills and the ability to work under pressure
  • Understanding of food safety standards and maintaining policies & procedures
  • Availability to work a variety of shifts including nights and weekends
  • Have Australian work rights

Bar and Function Supervisor

EXPERIENCED BAR AND FUNCTION SUPERVISOR- FULL TIME

The Canberra Labor Club is one of the most successful licensed clubs in the Canberra region, is very proud of its 50,000 strong membership and is well respected in the community. The Canberra Labor Club has 4 dedicated function rooms and 4 bar areas.

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Bar and Function Supervisor to support the management team in reaching business objectives in relation to the operations of our bars and functions within the venue.

As a Bar and Function Supervisor you will be responsible for but not limited to;

  • Meeting and exceeding customer expectations.
  • Providing efficient service to all
  • Ensuring high standards are maintained
  • Hands on approach involving function set up, progression and break down.
  • Addressing issues that may arise in a professional manner with the ability to improvise adapt and overcome.
  • Stock control in our bar areas
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment

The successful applicant will be self-motivated and experienced (at least 2 years) in functions/events who possess an eye for detail, excellent communication skills, impeccable personal presentation and proven ability to lead busy teams to success. Full availability and ability to work a flexible roster including nights and weekends

RSA certificate is essential.

The position incorporates operational tasks across the bar and function departments and as the successful applicant you will need to be flexible with your hours in accordance with special events and function bookings. This is a rostered position and will include night and weekend work.
